 The Poetry of Transience

At Milano Fashion Week, Anteprima, under the creative direction of Izumi Ogino, presented its Spring/Summer 2026 Collection—a meditation on transformation and the beauty hidden within fragility.

Titled “Echoes of Transience. From fragility, we build. From decay, we create,” the collection explores the delicate tension between impermanence and resilience. It reflects Ogino’s signature ability to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, reaffirming Anteprima’s vision as a brand where fashion becomes a contemplative art form.

The show took place at the historic Scuola Militare Teuliè in Milan, where the runway turned into a reflective pond—a visual metaphor for the fluidity of time and self.

Ogino collaborated with Takahiro Iwasaki, a Japanese sculptor from Hiroshima known for his miniature architectural works crafted from ephemeral materials like dust, hair, and thread. His philosophy of fragility and regeneration infused the collection with quiet, spiritual depth.

Geometry, Texture, and Memory Reconstructed

Each look on the runway balanced lightness and structure—architectural yet ethereal, minimal yet emotional.
Layers of recycled threads, translucent fabrics, and metallic yarns gave movement to silhouettes that floated around the body like reflections in water.

Key elements included:

  • Trench coats and short trenches reinterpreted with trompe-l’œil detailing.

  • Unisex bermuda sets in crisp cotton.

  • Mesh knitwear printed with Iwasaki’s artwork.

  • Polo tops and skirts recalling industrial construction nets.

The color palette radiated optimism—shades of blue, green, yellow, pink, and delicate pastels like mint, peach, wisteria, and lilac. Orange accents symbolized human intervention and reconstruction, nodding to Iwasaki’s hometown of Hiroshima.

Sustainability remained central: regenerated nylon, recycled fibers, and biodegradable materials crafted in collaboration with artisans practicing zero-waste techniques—a genuine expression of Anteprima’s mindful renewal.

Fashion as Wearable Art

This collaboration between Ogino and Iwasaki blurs the line between fashion and art.
Much like Iwasaki’s towers and temples made from fragile matter, Anteprima’s garments are acts of reverence—to impermanence, to the everyday, and to the human ability to rebuild.

The reflective pond on the runway mirrored this philosophy. As the models walked, their silhouettes merged with their reflections—time folding in on itself, a symbolic dialogue between structure and emotion.

Subtle Power, Silent Purpose

Fashion critics across the globe praised the show for its emotional clarity.
Unlike many presentations that rely on spectacle, Anteprima chose restraint—a quiet voice with profound resonance.

“Anteprima reimagines utility with elegance. From dust, she builds art.”
South China Morning Post, Milan Fashion Week 2025 Edition

This was not a collection that shouted—it whispered. Yet, it was unforgettable.

Between the Ephemeral and the Eternal

In a season filled with noise and overproduction, Anteprima offered stillness.
The SS26 collection reminded us that the future of fashion lies not in acceleration but in awareness—in the capacity to renew, to reflect, and to rebuild with meaning.

Through her refined direction, Izumi Ogino transforms fragility into power, turning the act of dressing into a meditative gesture.

In a world that rushes to keep up, Anteprima masters the art of time—with elegance, consciousness, and soul.
